I am looking for the parents of Frederick Robert Mean born about 1906 in the district of Camberwell. Can anyone help me please. Poppyann

Hi there

His birth cert will show both parents,or his marriage cert will show his dad's name- do you have that? The surnames not that common,but it would still be too difficult to guess which Mr Mean was his dad on the 1901 census.

His birth is in Camberwell in Mar 1/4 of 1906 ref 1d page 986

There are no other birth or marriages in the name of Mean in Camberwell from 1890- 1920.

Nor are there any on the 1901 census- so I can't even hazard a guess I'm afraid. Do you know if he had any siblings? If so where were they born and when. Otherwise it looks like you're going to have to buy that cert  ;D

Try the spelling Mein i have just traced some mein family in scotland i had mean as spelling but proper way was MEIN just a thought

The family show up on the 1911 census living in Camberwell.

You'd need to pay per view to find out more.
