1891 census - Belfast area
« on: Wednesday 02 February 05 10:08 GMT (UK) »
Would SKS have acess to the 1891 census of Belfast?

Looking for a family of Courtney (McCourtney)

All I know is

the father was John Courtney a labourer
His wife's name may have been Mary Ann (Wilson)/ or Jane
and he had at least one son called Francis (Frank) Courtney who was born around 1849 - 1856.  He would have been married.

Francis' 2nd marriage was from 15 Charlotte Place in Belfast and Jane's was Marlborough Park.

Church of Ireland

Not much to go on but thanks for any help.

Possibly the Templepatrick area.

According to 1882 when he married in Belfast he was 33.

Hiya Theresa,

There are very few nineteenth century Census returns for Ireland.
There are returns for 1901 and 1911.

All the Best, Chris
