kings county help please

hi im looking for any info on my gr gr gr granmother who was born in kings county in 1816 her maiden name was spelman we think and she married john fitzgerald there then moved to dundee in scotland and worked as a housekeeper and he was a carpet weaver they had a son robert in 1836 but thats as far as i got so any info from anyone would be great also john too of course any info on the kings county fitzys would be great  thanks folks hope to hear from someone soon  ;D

Hi Corcaighbhoy & welcome,You may have already notice in Griffith's Valuation (I know the time line is later then when your  3xGreat grandmother was born)Spelman isn't really a common name & maybe some of the places listed with Spelman living, could be areas where her relatives were living,there are only 3 Spelman listed for Kings - living at Ballybought & Cartron both in the parish of Durrow &  Endrim in the parish of Wheery,then I looked in the neighbouring counties of Queens there are none listed & Westmeath has one in Mullingar,there are 65 Fitzgreralds listed for Kings,regards Nipy
