how often did people change there age when coming to the uk
« on: Sunday 26 October 08 11:51 GMT (UK) »
you lovely people found Cecilia shannanhan coming to the UK in 1952 from India, but if she was 40 as stated in the passanger log, in 1952 and i have a registration of her marrage in 1925 and her first child was born in 1926 then she would only have been 13 when married and 14 when she had her first child? am really confused.

It might just be that her age was recorded wrong or that the person transcribing the records made a mistake in reading the entry. Do you have a birth certificate?

Do you know where she was born? Does marriage certificate list her parents names?

May be i am missing some thing will send off for there wedding certificate have had no luck trying to work out oversees documents!
