*completed* 1901 census lookup please
« on: Monday 27 October 08 14:55 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I am trying to find out more about my great-grandmother.

Mary Elizabeth Bluck, born 1897 in Barnsley. She married John W [known as William] Edwards in 1915 in Rotherham.

I am very interested in finding out Mary's parents'/siblings names [I believe she may have had a brother called Joseph] and whether she and John Edwards had any children [this was her first marriage].

Thanks in advance,
Sarah

And Edwards, Sylvia, married to Mr Green, 3 kids, sued your own mother - I want a word with you! And so does your brother! [run!]

Hi Sarah,

I think you'll find that there are huge numbers of us here who would love to see 1911 and 1921 but unfortunately, we're goiung to have to wait a while yet!

1911 will be searchable from some time next year, which is earlier than we expected as there is a one hundred year rule, presumably to protect anyone still living!

1901 - I should imagine there is someone looking for you even as I write this! If not, I'll have a go in a minute.

Cheers,

Jen

FreeBMD has a couple of births of Edwards children with mums maiden name Black (not Bluck, but might be worth investigating) in Rotherham in 1920 and 22. Wont post details as could still be alive - but on FreeBMD so easy for you to look.

Thankyou everyone - you've helped solved a very old mystery and made my lovely grandfather very happy.

Thanks again,
