Hi Folks,

after a long break from this topic, some new information has come my way. On Friday last, the curator of the McLean Museum Greenock contacted me. They have in their possession an article written by my grand father, Samuel Owen (2nd Battalion RSF) some time after the war. He details his capture during the first battle of Ypres and his time as a POW.
In his article, he mentions some one he met in Africa. I read some information on the RSF 2nd Battalion, the were stationed in Gibralter prior to return to Britain then onward to Zebrugge. Where in Africa might my grand fathers Battalion have been?

thanks

Tommy Owen
