ordering a death print-out
« on: Saturday 08 November 08 21:08 GMT (UK) »
hi,
i'm about to "try" and order a death print out for someone who died in auckland but i cant find if i can do this by e-mail? if i have to resort to the telephone then i can see difficulties arising with my northern ireland accent :)
especially with my pronounciation of the name of the graveyard, waikaraka.
can i order the print-out by e-mail or do i have to do it by telephone? :(
waikaraka pronounced why ka ra ka?

Hi Tony,
Waikaraka is one of the Auckland cemeteries that has a searchable database at
http://www.aucklandcity.govt.nz/dbtw-wpd/cemeteries/cemetery.html

I suggest you find your person there, which should give you enough details to be able to make a definite request by phone, as I'm pretty sure email is not yet an option.

Hi TF13

John is correct, you cannot email a request but another option maybe to fax. This site will help you find the best option for you http://www.dia.govt.nz/diawebsite.nsf/wpg_URL/Services-Births-Deaths-and-Marriages-Index?OpenDocument

waikaraka pronounced ....   why ka ra ka?

Hi Tony

Yes, you've got it !    (Why - kar - rar - kar)    :)

And hey ... there's nothing lovelier than an IRISH accent !    :)

Good luck with your search.
