HI All
My Grandfather died of his injuries in the First WW I have his casualty details & his Headstone Details.Is it possible to get medical records & service records if so how do I go about it. I have attached his casualty Details.

His Service Record (If it survived the Blitz only 30% did) wont have been uploaded to Ancestry yet so you would have to visit Kew or get a researcher.They are supposed to be all uploaded by end of year but are around the K surname at present.

The ubit war diary may be available to tell you what the unit was doing you can alo get that from KEW

The war diary for 116 Auxiliary Petrol Company (1074 Company A.S.C) is at Kew under the reference WO 95/4262 and covers the period June 1918 to April 1920.

Thank's for the information. I presume the only way to get any more info is to make visit which is not really possible for me. If I posted a request for some one to do a search for me, is it possible to get copies of any revelant information.Does the ref. WO95/4262 cover medical history as well or would that be separate.
