BELTON family
« on: Wednesday 12 November 08 20:15 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking for any BELTON family events in Hope Flintshire area in the 1820s, particularly:-

A marriage of Isaac BELTON widower, to Mary ? (possibly Barclay/Barkley) from Mold about 1821+.  Not known if Mary was a widow or spinster, but she was age 75 in 1851.  Suspiciously aged to be the mother of all these children ;)

Baptisms for
Edward c1823/4.  In 1851 Edward states he was born in Minera but I can't find a baptism there.
Sina c1827-buried 1836 Llandegla, age 9 years
Mary c1827 (poss twin of Sina?) Mary, age 24 appears on the 1851 census at Waen Fawr, Hope, along with Isaac & Mary.

Any help much appreciated
Heather

Many thanks Paul.   Very interesting.   I would like to find the baptisms of their children listed in the previous post if possible.

Hello Heather,  Wrexham baptism Dec 5 1822(just made it :P)

Edward s/o Isaac & Mary Belton. Abode, Minera. Occ, Miner.

On the 1851 census does it give the birthplace for the other children?

Paul.

Hi Paul

Thank you for finding Edward and confirming his parents.  The Beltons are a very confusing family :) :)

Mary Belton, stated age 24 in 1851, indicates Hope Flintshire as place of birth.
