UK Incoming Passenger Lists, 1878-1960

I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to look up a Gladys Henfrey and Clarence Henry Stephens. 
these are my grandfathers parents and I am at a dead end and wonder if they immigrated into England as I have absolutely no trace of Birth, Marriage or death records.  My Grandfather Clarence Henry Stephens b1912 has Clarence Henry Stephens deceased on his Marr Cert of 1937. His father and mother Gladys would be I guess born about 1870-1885? Any help?

Do you have your grandfather's 1912 birth certificate? What does that show for father's name and occupation?

There is a Clarence Henry Stephens in the WW1 army pension records, born around 1892, a seaman by profession, from Garston, Liverpool. He had a child but the wife's name is Alice.

Ive sent away for the Birth Cert as now wondering if his father was actually Claernce henry also or whether thats who he believed it to be. I found the same Clarence in Liverpool and dismissed that due to the liverpool and alice connection.

Clarence W. a private, no 412556,no age shown arriving on the Elmura fron Africa. arrived1918
