There were two David Elliots killed in 1918. One David Elliot was KIA on 9 April, 1918, (one year, to the day, after the battle for Vimy Ridge), at age 23. He was listed as being from Hamilton, Ontario and served with the 1st Battalion, Canadian Machine Gun Corps. He is buried at ECOIVRES MILITARY CEMETERY, Pas de Calais, France.
The other David Brown Elliot was killed on 3 September, 1918 at age 20, (DOB is 17 May, 1897). He served with the 46th Battalion, Saskatchewan Regiment and his home is listed as Twislop, Liddesdale, Scotland and was the son of Walter and Ann Elliot. He is buried CHAPEL CORNER CEMETERY, SAUCHY-LESTREE, Pas de Calais, France.
