Paper of Record dot com

I have just found http://www.paperofrecord.com/   ;D   ;D   ;D

It's a free searchable world wide newspaper search. You will need to register, which is quick and free.

Victoria has the Port Phillip Herald 1840 - 1902, but there are loads of other publications from around the world.  There is a download quota of 250 pages per day, which is heaps.

Off to read some old newspapers.

Kipp / Rigbye / Randall, Germany then Victoria, Australia from 1849.
Boothman / Clifford / Marsden / Johnston in Australia

Hi

This site has been mentioned before and advice given not to use it [not made by me]   I have used the site many times and have had no problem but evidently others did receive warnings.  Perhaps it depends on what security programme one uses :-\

Cheers

I did a Roots Chat search before posting and I couldn't find it mentioned.
