I am stuck on Thomas Tidmarsh b 1771 in the Hampton in arden near Balsall Warwickshire 1841 census as to parents and Parish register of birth or bapt.

His wife is Pheobe but as the 1841 census did not state linkage but she was the in age level to Thomas.

His son Thomas, bapt 1805 Atherstone Warwickshire just above Hampton in arden parents were Thomas and Pheoby Tidmash (No R)

His Daughter Charlotte Tidmash( again No R)bapt 1809
Mancetter Warwickshire father Thomas Mum Pheoby

other Daughter Martha TItmas ( No R or H)bapt 1811 Hampton in arden Dad Thomas mum Paebe

There is  Thomas Tidmarsh bapt 1772 in Ascot under wychwood

There could be more in Parish register could anyone help Please

Thomas Titmarsh bapt 1773 Coventry (The one I think it is)

Thomas Tidmarsh bapt 1773 Inkberrow

Thomas Tidmarsh 1776 Inkberrow

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Since I posted this in 2008 I still have not found Thomas Tidmarsh sr who was age 70 on the 1841 cenus st Balsall Street, Balsall (Temple Balsall) with his wife Phoebe.

They married at Merrevale nr Atherstone in 1803 and his son Thomas Tidmarsh jr b 1805 Atherstone, who also lived in Balsall street 1841 census  who married Sarah Bott in 1827 in Tanworth in Arden.

Since my last post I have obtained Thomas Tidmarsh sr, death certificate who died 1851 aged 86 , in Temple Balsall in Hampton in arden parish

His wife Phoebe Tidmarsh death cert died 1852 Balsall in Hampton in Arden age 84 though she is buried in Temple Balsall churchyard with an headstone saying she died 1852 age 74

Just one brickwall on who where these two's parents  ???  ???

Any help would be appreciated

 :)

Hi
Don't know if this helps but looking at the burials for Temple Balsall
Phoebe Tidmarsh 72 years buried 2.6.1852  address The Hospital.
Thomas at Hampton on Arden buried 27.3.1851 age 86 years Balsall.
Their marriage gives the added details of his parish Mancetter and hers Merevale
Neither can read or write but witness Abraham Cope can  and there is also an Elizabeth Cope.
Abraham cope was baptised there 23.1.1785 to a Richard and Elizabeth Cope pauper.
Other children Thomas 28.2.1768
Elizabeth 28.10.1770
Richard 31.1.1773-13.3.1774
Richard 8.1.1775
John 26.1.1777
Joseph 28.5.1780
Can't spot Phoebe but could be worth a good look.

Hi ciderdrinker.

Thank you very much for the info. It all helps - Thomas Tidmarsh sr death age 86 from burial record confirms the death certificate age 86 that helps me have a more positive birth year, the 1841 census had him age 70 but there is a 5 year round off = 70 to 74 years old in 1841 which would make him 80 to 84 years old in 1851 died before the census that year. Therefore 84 to 86 is near enough. (Really a big help this.)

Bit of a baffler over the Abraham Cope family but no Phoebe-very strange ?

Again thanks
