You really need to make clear what details you have.

Is 1887 Rashleigh Knight's year of birth? if so, where was he born? In U.K. census- where?
You know he went to New York- any idea of date? Have you found him leaving U.K.? (www.findmypast.com has passengers leaving U.K 1890-1960 under their migration section- index is free to search and will list name, year and port of departure and port of arrival, sometimes approx.  year of birth)
have you tried searching for him in Ellis Island records (www.ellisisland.org)?
Arrived 17 July 1909 on "Campania" and was going to a friend in Michigan.

Rashleigh Knight is probably a very uncommon name which should make it easier to find information.

He died in Gila Co., Arizona in 1927. See here for scanned image of death certificate:

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

The WWI Draft Registration card says he was living at 709 No. Hill in Globe, Ariz.  He was born 9 Jan. 1887.  He had filed first papers for naturalization.  He was employed as a miner for Ariz. Com. Co. in Globe.  He was single with no dependents.  He had prior military service as a private in the state infantry for 3 years.  He was short with a stout build, brown eyes, and brown hair.

His gravestone is here:  http://arizonagravestones.org/view.php?id=39489
