Parish church for Campsie,Derry
« on: Wednesday 26 November 08 14:06 GMT (UK) »
Hi, wondering if someone can answer my question?
Does anyone know what the nearest catholic church would have been for Campsie around the 1850s/1860s mark? Would they have gone into Derry?
Still trying to trace my gr gr grandmother Margaret Harvey who we thought was from Campsie in Scotland but seeing as she lived in Inishowen when she married just wonering if it might be this Campsie.
Any help or info would be welcome
Thanks net64

PRONI's index indicates that there are records (years unspecified) for Creggan church (OS 1st ed spells it Cregan), which is NE of Muff (Eglinton), between Longfield and Tullybrisland.
