Logie works photo if possible
« on: Wednesday 03 December 08 11:25 GMT (UK) »
My ggg grandfather James Aberdein was overseer at the Logie Works spinning mill at Logie Pert for 45 years.  I wondered if anyone had a photo of the mill or the houses where the workers lived. A few years ago I visited the site and found just some remains.

I have a few old postcards of Craigo Mill, but probably not the same mill.

Hi ferrydener,

We didn't get the pictures of Logie Mill as it was the Logie Mill in Montrose she wanted it wasn't  the Logie Jute mill in Dundee she was looking for after all.

What and where was Craigo Mill then?.

Betty

The Village of Craigo is a few miles North of Montrose on the Marykirk Road. Its actually next to Logie Pert.

Hi again ferrydener,

I can't say if its the same mill or not aberdein just said they had built houses where the mill used to be.

By the way I see you have now added your photograph too.
