Hi Peter, i have been advised by Mobo to ask you this, if your ancestors come from the Market Drayton area, when it was in cheshire, where is it best to apply to for info, the cheshire archives or family history society, or the shropshire archives and history soc.  perhaps you could advise me,regards nora.

            There as only  been a small part of Market Drayton thats ever been in Cheshire. As far as I am aware the majority of records are held by the Shropshire RO,thats the place I would start at,from there they will advise where to find the record you want if they do not have it in their collection.
