Are WW1 Army Medical reports from Regimental Aid Posts available anywhere ?
These reports described the type and cause of wound and action needed/taken. My grandfather was wounded three times on the Somme, patched up and sent out again each time.

You would need to go to the NA and look in MH106 it has 1000s of medical sheets.
