Frank(Franz) Grossbeck (Grosspietsch, Grosspeitsch)

Am looking for the following:
Frank(Franz) Grossbeck (Grosspietsch, Grosspeitsch)

b. or 25-1-1843, lived in Wustegiersdorf, Germany/now Poland, Gluszyca, now located in Southwest Poland, near Waldenburg (Walbrzych) near the Czech border in the province of Silesia (Schlesien)

d. Paterson, New Jersey
Came to US between 1871 and 1876.

married to:

Pauline (Paulina)  Emile (Amalie)(Amelia) Wilsner (Wiesner)
Lived in the same area as her husband

We do not know the date of their marriage.. All their known children were born in the US. We do not know their parents names, nor where they were born, just where they lived.

Hi brandsberg,

I've just moved this from the One Name Interests board, as you will probably get more response here.

this topic might provide a few tips, too:
Topic: Immigrant Resources = Emigrant Resources ??

Good luck,
Bob

One of the tips in Immigrant resources is the german gen. database site
http://gedbas.genealogy.net/index.jsp

entering Wustegiersdorf in the "Ort (Stadt, Provinz, Land) box" turns up two WIESNERs (one submitter) from there.

Might be worth an e-mail to the submitter, to see if there is any connection.

I also found a FRANZ GROSSPIETSCH, b. 1816, Oberschwedeldorf (also Schlesien/Silesia, near Breslau)

I can't seem to find them in the 1880 census.  You might try looking at www.familysearch.org, they have a free 1880 census online.  If you need further census information, I've found most of the families from 1900-1930.  Amelia seems to die between 1910 and 1920.  The families are always in Paterson.  Let me know if you need the other transcriptions.
