Back again looking for help!
My GG Grandfather John Storer born approx 1896  area unknown .
I`m told died in WW1 Unable to find any evidence

Found a death record John W Storer 1919 Sheffield 9c/458 if he died in WW1 could he still be recorded as Sheffield district in 1919

John`s children were born in West Yorkshire 1914 to early 1920 yes more confusion
the chance of my mother telling me three name & matching my finding & been wrong seem slim

Sylia Storer 1914 & died same year
Dot Storer 1919
Ivy Storer 1920 my GG Grandmother

I`v sent for a marriage cert for John & Gertrude so must wait & hope this will shed more light on the matter

WW1 ended in 1918 unless he died of war wounds once he returned home then he would be registered wherever he died.

Looking at the info you have given Sylvia,Dot and Ivy were registered in Dewsbury. The marriage for John Storer and Gertrude Dawson was in Dewsbury. So I would say the death in Sheffield isn't him allthough looking at the census I can't see either a John Storer or Gertrude Dawson in Dewsbury
