Neil Mcfarlane b. c.1827-1830 Greenock

Hi All

I have tried to locate the baptism of Neil McFarlane of Greenock without success.
I have tried the usual places but have still drawn a blank and wondered if anyone has this person in their tree or come across him.

I have his marriage to Elizabeth Plaxton 26 Oct 1851 East parish Greenock.

Two children were born in Greenock a son Neil (1855) and a Dau Helen (1858)

By 1871 he had moved south to Hull Yorkshire, then I have him also in Hull on 1881 & 1891 censuses.

I cannot locate him on any 1851/1861 index or find his birth.

Researching in Scotland is new to me so any help would be very much appreciated.
