The Jersey archive has a copy of his registration card giving his address as The Hollies, St Mary and date of birth as 30.06.03.
The registration cards usually give details of any children and often have a photo. Unfortunately those details are not on the website and the only other Whatley is a Mary née Winters at a different address with a child Patrick

The only information it gives is that Mary was living at 2 Devonshire Lane, St Helier and her date of birth was 22/5/1916.

These identity cards were issued by the German authorities during the Occupation. I haven't looked at any recently so I can't remember what information they contain - if you think it would be of help I can have a look next week when the Archive re-opens to see if there is any further information on the cards themselves.

Hi JerseyLily

Don't do any look ups for this one as I've already done it in January 2008 for another relative. There were in fact 4 children! As there's a chance they are still alive I've sent a private email to Mark with all the details, including details on the requests to return to Jersey after the war.
