« on: Friday 02 January 09 00:37 GMT (UK) »
Ive hit a brickwall with this . ANY info no matter how small would be
welcome

GEORGE SWAIN    married  GRACE BALL   in south normanton DEC 25TH 1821

2 known chidren

PATIENCE baptised south normanton march 1st 1823
MARY  baptised south normanton aug 3rd 1824

Grace i presume dies as george later married HANNAH NORWOOD at south
normanton 30th aug 1828
and they have more children

so in 1824 Grace was alive  but dead by 1828 ,
but i cant find her death in south normanton ?  anyone got her on thier
tree in the kirkby in ashfield area ???  ( or anywhere else? )

the family possibly went to  into kirkby in ashfield , but i have no kirkby
info to check on this

ANY help much appreciated, would love to know what happened to grace

thanks

Hello Maureen... :)

Edit;
Just in case anyone needs the link for what was said on the Derbyshire board =

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=350602.new#new

The Nottinghamshire FHS index covers burials for Kirkby from 1813 – 1864 but Grace wasn’t there and as far as I can tell Kirkby Woodhouse burials start in 1861.

Did a bit of digging but I can now see some of this has been covered on the Derbyshire board, but as I have done it now I will still post it just in case it proves useful to you or another researcher.

Does it now look like you have been following the wrong family? as George that married Grace couldn't have remarried to Hannah Norwood as you first thought?
