Missing Pages - 1841 St Alban's Census
« on: Tuesday 06 January 09 17:57 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone know if there are any pages missing from the 1841 census for St Alban's?

Just can't seem to find two families who are living in St Alban's on the 1851 census and give their birthplace as St Alban's and surrounding area.

This list is incomplete and only covers Ancestry's '41 census, but we have discovered many missing pages for St Albans.

I've found some '41 census pages that were not on Ancestry were actually available on British Origins.

It may be worth a look anyway.

Thank you Rick I will see if I can find an address on the 1851/61 so I can hone in on the right area it looks like I may be in luck if as LadyDi says some of them are on Origins.

I am sure I have some credit left on Origins if not looks like I may have to dip into my Xmas money. LOL

Thanks to you both for the advice it is much appreciated I only hope I can reciprocate in the future.

Many of us own copies of the complete surviving Herts 1841 census.  However, this is not indexed but if you know the area of St Albans where they may be found we may be able to help.
