1871 census look up request for Northam

I`m trying to find out the parents and family of William Northam b1858, Yarcombe Devon. I have found him on the 1881, 1891 and 1901 census and know he married a lsdy called Isabella Billing in Dec 1881.
Any other help would be greatly appreciated.

I cant find a William age about 12 born Yarcombe, only William Northam born Yarcombe around that age is age 8, living with parents William and Hannah and also grandparents Simon and Mary Northam.

Hi Nicola, bit of a long shot, but given the way family names are re-used, I wondered if you had considered that
Eli NORTHAM   Head   M   Male   43   Yarcombe, Devon, England   Agricultural Labourer [1881 Census] might be Williams father. Given that William later named one of his own children Elias. 'Eli' may be a shortening of Elias
