Williams of Holywell

Holywell, Flintshire is believed to have been the birthplace of my 2nd Great Grandfather, Thomas Williams, in 1818. His parents were William Williams and Elizabeth (maiden name unknown) and we think Thomas had a brother named Charles. Thomas described himself as a "smith" by occupation.

Thomas married Sarah Gerrard in 1845 in Chester and they died there in 1883 and 1886 respectively, leaving a son, George Henry Williams, who was born in 1847 in Chester and who married Martha Ellen Urmston.

Flintshire was not short of William Williams's at the end of the 18th Century, and to make matters worse several of them married an Elizabeth. Does anyone recognise the family described here?

Paddy.
