Could someone with a subscription on Ancestry web site  or other website please look up James Shaw marriage to a Martha for her maiden name! married sometime between 1827-1833 west yorkshire (Marsden or saithwaite) Lingards in Pallets marriages 1780-1837           ---  Think there is 2 mar's
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Hi

There is nothing on either Pallots or on Ancestry marriages 1538-1940.  The 2 entries you mention had different spouses and were in 1814 & 1816 respectively

Were any children born after 1837?  A copy of one of their birth certs will show Martha's maiden name
Census Information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
