TOWNSEND deaths in Puriton
« on: Saturday 17 January 09 00:11 GMT (UK) »
I am wondering if anyone has access to old newspapers to see if there were any obits for the following deaths occurring in Puriton:-

William Townsend, aged 33
burial 20th Nov 1864 at Puriton, and his wife....

Louisa Townsend
burial 4th Dec 1870

I am hoping some obits might provide a clue as to whether William connects to my Devon Townsends.  He is listed on the 1861 census at Huntspill, as being born Devon Culmstock, but I have not found him on the 1851 or 1841 census.  The birthplace on the 1861 census may be incorrect.

Thanks

Thanks, lizdb.
I have the details from free bmd site, but was hoping to come by the info by other means.  I don't usually get certifs unless it is my main line.  However, it remains an option, thats for sure.
