Does anyone on this list know of a researcher who has a good working knowledge of the Downshire Papers held at PRONI?
I am looking at a very narrow period, March 1903 to May/June of the same year, for any correspondence relating to the death of my gt grandmother who was involved in a collision with a car being driven by the then Marquis, while driving from Dublin to Hillsborough.
The incident was well covered in the press, Irish Times and Freemans and I also have copies of some of the inquest papers. I would like to know if there is any correspondence still accessable, between the Hillsborough Estate and the family's legal representative, that might shed a bit more light on what happened after her death on 14th April 1903.
