Hiya All

I have come across a very strange thing relating to a distance relative

I have the marriage of George Bennett to Hannah Shale 10.3.1810 at Ruardean witnesses John Wilce (her brother) and Elizabeth Gagg

I then have the baptism of their one child Jane 26.5.1811 at Awre parents listed as George Bennett and Hannah Wilce spinster

Any ideas why it should be written this way?
