In the 1881 census, there is a Robert Elliott (born 1815 Hintlesham, Suffolk) living in Gestingthorpe, with a lodger named John Elliott.
In 1871 he was a widower, living alone, working as an Ag. Lab.
I'd like to know if anyone is researching Robert, or might know how (if?) he is connected to Robert Elliott, carpenter, of Bedfield (b. c. 1795). Was Robert of Gestingthorpe ever married? Did he have a family?
