They were in Stanton, Staffs in 1861 and living Plants Court, Castle Church, Staffs in 1881.

Hi Nicky,
                    You are wonderful, Thanks for all the lookups.

Have only just started investigating this side of my tree so I haven't much on them just yet. It seems that they have stuck to being Grundy's where as the older generations are Grindey/Grindy. My direct line is Grindy but they all seem to start off from Stanton as Grindy's so it has been a bit confusing to say the least. Their all mainly Toms, Johns, James and Williams. I have one Henry and one Ezra (both brothers)so thought I would start finding out about him first.

I will go and see what I can find off the other sites and see where that gets me. Thanks for all your wonderful help. Its really appreciated.

 I think I have now found Ezra Grundy Junior on the 1891


Ezra Grundy  30  b. Stoke, Stafford          Painters labourer
Agnes   "       25  b. Crewe     
John      "        3   b. Crewe

Living 30 Church st, Monks Coppenhall, Cheshire

Wasn't sure at first as age and birth place are wrong but I then found them on the 1901 index

Ezra Grundy  41  b. Whiston, Staffs      Iron works labourer
Agnes   "       34  b. Crewe
John      "       13  b. Crewe

Still in Monks Coppenhall but no address

Theory.

Ezra doesn't know where he was born and was living with his parents in Stoke in 1881 so put this as birth place in 1891. Age difference due to such a young wife?? I am fairly sure it has to be him but would appreciate any alternative.

I found a marriage of Ezra Grundy Marrying Agnes Mary Grandison Jun qtr 1886 Nantwich, Cheshire which would tie in with this couple.  I suppose getting the marriage cert is my only way of knowing for sure if its my Ezra.
