Does anybody know where Wensted,Sussex is.   Have ancestor says he was born there,  but cannot find it on map.

Hi Val

There is a Wensted in Hampshire but not Sussex.  Closest I can think of in Sussex is Binstead.

Thanks Kerry.  I thought perhaps it should have been Hampshire but not familiar with Sussex or this area I am afraid.    :)

I couldn't find Wensted on any modern maps, but the link suggests that Wensted is now Winslade which does exist near to Basingstoke.
