Disticts?
« on: Wednesday 21 January 09 10:05 GMT (UK) »
Morning Everybody
I have just found an interesting item on the 1911 census regarding my family tree, this being the appearance of a John King grandson born in Winsford Cheshire.
What I would like to know is what district/area would Winsford come under.
I have had a look in the BMD but no luck.
Thanks
Peter

note its a Civil Parish, not created till 1936 - trace back the embodied places for earlier info ..

Winsford was a civil parish (SJ 6665) created in 1936 from parts of Clive, Darnhall, Marton (near Winsford), Over, Stanthorne and Wharton.

Thanks for the posts.

I have had a look on the Cheshire BMD's and have seen a name and town, village.
Frankley St.John in the Wirral is the place I am going to have a look on the map to see if it sill exists.
The person is Frederick William King and the year 1900 which comes very close to what I'm looking for.
Thanks
Peter
