1871/81/91/1901 look up please - LAWSON

Help required for any or all census look ups please.
Trying to determine when John Lawson died hence not sure which would be his last census year,last found on 1861 in Humbie aged 39 living with wife Isabella aged 34, daughter Isabella B aged 11 and son Mathew aged 6. 1851/61 census states John born in East Lothian 1841 outside census county

Hi Fiona,

I'm guessing your thought came from John and Isabella's daughter's name, Isabella Burnside Lawson. However, I think the Burnside connection comes with her mother; Isabella Lawson nee Hope died 1874 in Carrington. Parents are given as John Hope, ag. lab and Isabella Hope, m.s. Burnside.

A few births on the IGI for this couple, including Isabella b. 1825 in Haddington.

If it's the Burnside you're tracking, Isabella's mother looks to have been born about 1796 in Haddington (from the 1851 census on FreeCen).

Nothing exact on either SP or IGI for her, but will mention these just in case.

Thanks again for your interest and replies .

Origanally post was for census info on John Lawson which I thought was the son of James Lawson/Isabella Burnside,I was wrong and yes I was going on the assumption of Johns daughters Isabella B middle initial,they didnt have a  son John.
My initial search is complete for BDM on James Lawson/Isabella Burnside b22nd July 1790 Haddington,now trying to expand on info(census) for their children
but drawing blanks on all except for one 1841 result with Francis aged 16 and his mother Isabella 50 in Midlothian.


James Lawson/Isabella Burnside had 6 children

William b1813 Edinburgh
James b1815      "
Isabella b1821   "
Francis  b1823   "
Anne b1824       "
