1871 is an odd one. Still at the Anvil and Hammer RG10/1529/58/10

James Freaman, 26, Married, Head, Labourer and publican, born Oundle Northants
Jane, wife, 46, Hertford, Huntingdonshire

It's the same place, same wife but not the same husband! Could it be a son?

Jen

Sorry Ricky, crossed in the post.

There are two possible deaths, in the right area, for the James Freeman who is on the 1861. But that would mean that Jane is now living with another, much younger, man with the same name as her husband. Very odd. :-\

I've just looked at the younger James in 1861, still with his parents. His father, Samuel, was born in Somersham.
I'd put money on the younger James being a nephew of the older one.

What do you think?
