Workhouse, Beaumont
« on: Thursday 29 January 09 15:05 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

i've traced my grandfather on the 1911 census and his address is listed as WORKHOUSE BEAUMONT WEELEY RSO.

His parents are also listed as living here, and they are employed as farm labourers.

Any information on this workhouse would be appreciated.

Ian

Hi Ian

Weeley was apparently covered by the Tendring Poor Law Union  Don't know if you have seen this site which gives background to the workhouses.
