I've done as much as I can - now need help!
« on: Friday 30 January 09 23:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

I would like some help with this photo (jack_knight2.jpg). As a noob to photo 'doctoring', I've gone as far as I can.

I'm not asking for all the ink spots to be removed (actually, I think they somehow enhance the life of the photo) - just a removal of those on, and close to, Jack (ears, left cheek, right elbow and, of course, legs & left foot - yes, I realise the legs and foot is asking a lot - just a little improvement  ;) ). I've not got the experience (or skill) to do those.

A wee clean up.

Charles,

Thank you. What tool/technique did you use? That is absolutely brilliant.

I only use PaintShop Pro 9.  A cheap programme but in my opinion, it does what I want.

Hi Tim,

Best regards George.
Scan at 300 plus for restores please. Scan at larger dpi for small photos. Don't forget to crop the scanner bed out! (Them's the white bits)
Please feel free to alter any work by me for the benefit of the Poster.

Nothing to contribute photo-wise, but I must say that Jack was a handsome devil in his day.

You are lucky to have such a nice photo, TJ.

As usual, the restores are amazing!
