Any info about the UK ancestors of James Griffin b 1824 Cambridge UK will be appreciated.

What we have is;
James Griffin in 1850, married Ann Coates b 1822 and emig to South aust in 1852 aboard "Amazon" with their son John.

Father of James Griffin is William Griffin, no details, mother is Elizabeth, no details.  They may also have travelled to SA with James and Anne.

We have no other details of earlier family members or places.

Our  family connection is through George John Griffin, b 1854 South Aust., son of James Griffin above.

The cfhs baptism index has a James Griffin son of William and Elizabeth baptised in 1824 in Wisbech
