Kate Baines Salford
« on: Tuesday 03 February 09 12:16 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I am trying to find Kate Baines b.1885 Salford on the 1891 census.

From the 1901 census I have

Thomas Baines H age 40 Carter B. Salford
Kate Baines      W age 38           B, Salford
Kate                  D age 16            B Salford
John                     age 10            B Salford
Walter                  age 8              B Salford
Florence                age 6             B Salford

Kate (mother/wife) was born abt 1859 according to her death cert in 1915, and her maiden name was delaney, (so she might be born Ireland not Salford)

I can't locate them any where on the 1891 and I can't find a marriage either.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks
Debbie

Thats what I thought Newf  lol, I did find that one but how do you go from Baines to Brown.

I have tried Bayne, Banes, and even Davies, cause that is how it could be interpreted from the 1901 census Mmmmm

Ok will keep trying

Thanks

if you leave both the forename  & surname out and search on Dob, parents Tho* & Kat*, using Salford in the keyword box, its amazing how many Browns show up
