crematoriums in or near Swansea

Hello, can anyone give me  any information on crematoriums in or near
South Wales. I am trying to locate a crematorium where my granny
was cremated in 1979. I know she died in South Wales but exactly
where i don`t know.I have sent for a copy of her death certificate
and once recieved i will have more info.

just put Crematoriums swansea into a search engine - you will get lots of information -but to search the whole of south wales will be more difficult - best wait until death cert arrives

Morriston Crematorium is the only one in Swansea.

There is one in Margam, Port Talbot and also one in Llanelli.

I live in Morriston, so let me know if I can help.

Morriston Crematorium is the only one in Swansea.

Thanks Bev for the info,gran died in Cefn Coed Hospital, so im looking for a crematorium
near there i would think, as im in Scotland i would need an address or phone number so i could

Just put "Swansea Crematorium" into a search engine -you will get address/phone number/map

Does the death cert give home address-as well as place of death ?

Sometimes hospitals (especially specialised ones) can be a good distance from home address-and usually the crem nearest to home is used .

I think there is only the one crem in Swansea - but its worth checking gran didn't live outside the area.

Hi Suz, death cert says she lived in Tudno St, Penlan Swansea but this could only have been for
a short time as before this she lived in Llanechly(probably not spelled correctly), for many years.

Llanelli is still in Swansea -but funerals usually leave for crem/cemetery from home addres -so it looks like its Swansea crem you need to contact - they have a book of rememberance on line
