Electoral Rolls Ilford- 10 Stanley Road

Hi,
I am probably in the wrong board however I would like to know if electoral rolls for Ilford/Romford exist for the period from 1901(actual date unknown-but was before 1911) and end date of 1946?

In particular for : 10 Stanley Road, Ilford

I am looking for details on William Reginald Sangster Hill ( aka William Sangster or Reginald Hill/s or William Hills or any variation on this theme!!!!)

We understand that he not only lived with his wife Frances Harriet Rose Hannah aka Rose and children but had a friend' by whom he had children.

Nothing known about this other lady. Her children (and maybe herself)  went under the name/s of Hill/Hills/Sangster/Sankester/Sankster).

So I would firstly like to find William - who was a baker/pastry cook/ confectioner - the shop(on a main road- name unknown)  he "owned" or "worked in" burned down (date unknown).

Secondly he and FHRH (Rose) or she by herself or him with the other lady...

Oh dear. I do hope someone can understand what I have written!!

Hi Vicki,
Electoral rolls are organised by the address of persons, street by street, so unless you have an address, a lookup is almost impossible- at least I believe that to be the case, unfortunately.

Thank you for your reply. The address I have which I know that Rose (FHRH) and the children lived at for many years was 10 Stanley Road, Ilford.

I have no idea when William died (havent been able to track him yet...but am working on that) and thought that maybe if appeared on census annually or whoever they are done then I could hopefully find him. So that when he vanishes from the rolls that could give a guidance to when he died. If you can understand my back to front logic!!

Not long before she died (1946) Rose moved across the road to number 7 to her married daughter and son in law (Livermore).

Hullo again... great that you have the street address.

may I suggest that you amend your original post- that is the first post on this thread and put the addresses into the opening sentence... that way someon who reads the post and has acces to the electoral roll will realize that you have supplied the address... etc.

d0 you know how to ammend your post?

Good the way you did that--- it's obvious the address is known etc... so now we just sit and wait...
