Does anyone have an Amplia, Amplias,Ampliss, Amphlys....
« on: Sunday 08 February 09 14:54 GMT (UK) »
My GG Grandmother was Amplia Bradshaw born in Birmingham in 1836 (I think) she married John Bradshaw in 1863 (?) in Birmingham.

The Bradshaws were canal boatmen and spent time in the Midlands.  Part of the family settled in the Watford andf Brentford areas around 1900 ish and another branch in the Manchester area.

I have not been able to trace the birth or marriage of Amplia and cannot find her maiden name anywhere.   I have plenty of info following her marriage but nothing before.

Its not a common name and I was wondering if anyone had an Amplia (s) or similar back in their tree.  The family also had some coal merchants and miners way back so she could be from that stock.

Cany anyone help?

Many thanks
Ginger

Hi

Did John & Amplia have any children?  A copy of one of the childrens birth certs will give her maiden name

Hi

I was very surprised to see your post - my original one was back in 2009!  Samuel was my 1st cousin x 2.  I have him marrying Emily Wright in 1919.  As yet I haven't completed any of their descendants.   Do we agree on Emily Wright?   As we are nearing to discussing possibly living people its OK to PM me.
