Hildreth marriage
« on: Monday 09 February 09 14:52 GMT (UK) »
Hello
Can anyone help with finding the marriage of Philip Hildreth B 1849 Tweedmouth Berwick on Tweed. I know he married Isabella Russell b 1850 in Horncliffe Berwickshire . Their first born child was in 1848 in Tweedmouth. the family later moved to Hartlepool. I expect it is staring me in the face somewhere , but as they say two heads are better than one.
many many thanks.
Heather

Dates look wrong!

Two people born 1849 and 1850 wont have a child born 1848!
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

So very sorry. Trying to do too many things at one time. the dates are Philip Hildreth b 1819 Tweedmouth and Isabella Russell born b.c. 1819. they had a son James Ramsay Hildreth in 1849. I do not think he was the first born.
SORRY Heather

In each census husband isn't present, probably at sea.

1851 census HO107/2421 Folio 171 Page 2 shows Isabella Hildreth b.1821 Horncliffe with eldest child William aged 5 so b. abt 1846

So marriage about 1845?  Can't find one yet.  :-\

This is the one . Philip was a master mariner. They later moved to Hartlepool, but I think the marriage would have been in the Berwick area
thanks
