Yes, that was part of the transcript of the parish burials and yes, it does make a difference if he was non-conformist. On admission to the workhouse, he would havebeen asked about his denomination. The local Methodist circuit may have had its own burial ground
www.rootschat.com/links/05jb/One of the problems with methodist records is that they were organised into circuits and the records do not necessarily stay with the church. However, some of the records of the Abergavenny circuit are at the records office.
