Booth and Buff familes of Doncaster and Boston
« on: Tuesday 10 February 09 15:58 GMT (UK) »
Charles Booth b Doncaster c1895-1967 married Emma Buff (c1898-1994) who was reputed to be his cousin. What was the connection between them and William Buff wife Alice Stimpson of James Street, later Park Road, Boston?

Very helpful, thanks Geoff. Perhaps you or some other viewer knows where Kelsey Bridge. Mr. Booth (Emma) used to refer to it, but I can't find it on a map of Lincolnshire

1881 shows Charlotte to have been the daughter of
John BANNISTER 47 AgLab, Bourne
Mary 46 Kirton

1861 shows Betsy to be daughter of
John BANISTER 27 AgLab, Bourne
Mary 26 Kirton

so they were sisters :)

Now for William Buff and Alice Stimpson. Feel a right idiot as a former long term Boston resident not knowing where Kelsey Bridge was.
