I have a few ancestors who came from this village:

STOREY

Mary Ann Storey - my Greatx2 grandmother
Married name of Bedford
Born 1842 - 1909 (died in Hilton, Hunts)
Parents: John Storey and Sarah Ann Fowler

FOWLER

Sarah Ann Fowler - my Greatx3 grandmother
Married name of Storey

FORD

Parents: Thomas Ford and Sarah Turner Mason

I have a reasonable amount of information on these names that I'm willing to share and would love to add more details to the tree.

Names ring bells with anyone??

Sally

Hi Sally

Thomas Ford's brother John was my 4xg grandfather.

In addition to the Ford name in Graveley I am also researching the Revell name from Graveley (the Revells originated in the next village, Toseland, which was in Hunts)

Regards

David

Hello Sally and David, I believe either my mother Marilyn or I have been in touch with both of you previously regarding our Ford Family.  We descend through James and Elizabeth Chandler Ford.
I am preparing a small family heritage booklet for our upcoming family reunion, and although I have all the family tree information, I'm wondering if you would have any background information on the family.  What they did, where exactly they lived, what the families were like etc.  In particular I would like to know about the lives of Thomas and Sarah Mason Ford and siblings as well as the lives of James Ford and his siblings.  (prior to him coming to America).
Any help you can give me would be most appreciated!

David

I have been photographing a small cemetery here in Australia at a place called Tyndale in northern NSW.  There are about 900 names on the grave list.

I notice you are researching Revell.  There is one in the cemetery and his name is George Revell "a native of Cambridgeshire, England" is inscribed on the headstone. He died 21 March 1887 at age 69.  It is a very clear photograph and the inscription can be quite easily seen.

If there is a connection I can send you the photograph of the grave and a close up of the inscription.

There is also his wife which appears to be Lydia Revell she died15 May 1890.  This pic is not quite as clear as George's but it looks as though she was 71 years old.

Hi Reg

Thanks very much for the offer. Unfortunately George doesn't appear to be one of mine. There were quite a few apparently unrelated Revell branches in Cambs.

Thanks again

David
