John Collis & Jane Granger - Pebmarsh, Essex

I am trying to gather information about John Collis and Jane Granger who were married circa 1781 at St Geo..... according to Pallots information.
Jane was the daughter of Benjamin Granger of Gestingthorpe
John (who died prior to 1810, was a farmer at Pebmarsh)was the son of John Collis of Great Maplestead
Both Collis and Granger families were non conformists.

Can anybody please help with details of their births, baptisms, marriage and deaths

Hello Baz,

There is a pedigree resource file on the igi with all the Collis family on it, my 4x gt grandfather Samuel Collis is supposedly the brother of your John Collis.  I am not sure whether it can be completely trusted but it quotes wills so possibly the information is correct.  Up to now I haven't proved that they are brothers.  Hopefully within the next month or so I can get to the Essex Records Office and check it.  So possibly we share 5 x gt grandparents John Collis and Dorcas Ely.
