I am just starting my great grandfathers line and wondered if anyone else can help, root chatters have always come up trumps for me before !
My Great Grandfather was George William Hutchings born in Ringwood, Hants in 1895, his parents were George b1875 - d1912 and Rose Ellen Long b 1877 - d1906. They died quite young and left several children under the age of 13 and I want to find out what happened to them.
His parents were George b1837 and Sarah Barnes b1834 and hers were George Long b1847 and Eliza Ann Austin b 1850 all from Ringwood or Christchurch area.
The problem I am having is with the spelling of the name Hutchings, it appears that during the 1890’s it changed from HUTCHINS to HUTCHINGS and I have even come across HUTCHENS & HUTCHENGS !!
Any help or input would be greatly appreciated
