http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/
 - shows his second marriage, where he gives his father's name as Wenzil, mother unknown.
Josephine, aged 37, gives her parents as Frank Novotny and Mary Pesinka.

Have you tried local history societies for the area? They might be able to help with old local history books, obituaries, etc, that could mention a town of origin etc.
Were any of his children with Mary Koubek born before they came to the US?

Thanks for the reply!

I have Josephine's parents in my database, but as names only, no other info.

Two of the MI brothers went to the Bohemian village of Havilckov Brod, (where the density of Nachazels seem to be the greatest, according to an engineer in Prague whose name was Nachazel) and found several burial sights.  On inquiry, found most records were destroyed in WW II, so they gave up.

I have not pursued the FHL offerings (except on-line), as I was told by another reasearcher there wasn't much there.  But I will have to agree; better to see for youself.  The FHL site you mentioned, I have been through, including copies of the images.

In "German Immigrants: ...............Bremen to New York, 1855-1862" Passenger list, we find; Johann, Mary, and 2 children: Mary Theresa, and Anne.  So yes, there was children born in Bohemia!

My name is Michele B. Josephine Novotny Nachazel is my Great Grandmother. My mom is Helen K. Her mom was Anna Nachazel B.1896 D. 1979. We all live in Southern California. My niece found this information and shared it with my mom tonight.

We have been interested in finding more information about our relatives who immigrated from Czechoslovakia and their families. Do you have some info you can share with us and we can help fill out what we know.

Why are you researching the Nachazel family? I'm curious.
